Legendary Singer Etta James Dies at Age 73

Etta James, the legendary blues and soul singer, lost her battle with leukemia today, passing away at the age of 73, reports CNN.

She was best known for her 1961 hit song, “At Last,” which earned her a spot in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

“This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world,” said longtime manager Lupe De Leon, who confirmed the news to CNN. “She was a true original who could sing it all – her music defied category. I worked with Etta for over 30 years. She was my friend and I will miss her always.”

I recently found your website and I have fallen in love with your beautiful clothing and matching hats. I am not a woman of color but I am a woman and I feel all women should take pride in their appearance and I wish it was socially acceptable for us to dress like this every day, LOL. It just makes you feel good. I want to clean my house in a hat now.As women I think we should lift each other up and support one another. As a professional woman and recent single mother, life is so challenging. We as women of all colors, nationalities and religions should support and lift each other up each day. I truly believe that is what God intended…not for us to tear each other down with pettiness and gossip. I will be wearing my new, red hat this Sunday to church with a big ole smile on my face. I love your site and your women’s wear and I plan to purchase more products from you in the future and I have recommended you to many of my friends. God Bless.Melissa, GA
